The Fernbank Museum Atlanta Wedding Venue

Bride and groom standing with dinosaur at Atlanta Fernbank Museum weddingI know wedding planning can be hard and choosing the perfect wedding venue is an important first step in creating your dream wedding day. Over the years, we have had the pleasure of shooting a lot of weddings at some of the most amazing venues, so to help you choose the perfect wedding venue, here are some of our thoughts on Atlanta wedding venue the Fernbank Museum of Natural History.

If you are looking for a truly unique wedding venue, love history, and dinosaurs, look no further than the Fernbank Museum! Since the Fernbank Museum is actually a museum, it features huge amounts of space to accommodate even large weddings. The space inside is designed to be super open for a relaxed, clean, and simplistic feel. When it comes to where you can have the ceremony there are a number of options. Outside on The Terrace is the most popular for outdoor ceremonies and hanging out during cocktail time. The Star Gallery and the Museum Lobby, are often the most popular choices for inside ceremonies if you are looking to beat the summer heat, winter cold, or a rain plan. For the reception, the Great Hall which is one of the museum’s main areas featuring giant dinosaurs, is one of the best places.

You have complete access to the Fernbank’s museum areas for portraits which makes it a ton of fun and easy to create amazing photos. The museum itself is closed during weddings, so guests do not have access all over the museum. Although, the Fernbank Museum is located in the city, the ambient noise from things such as cars, trains, and general hustle of the city is not even noticeable since it sits back so far from the streets and has plenty of surrounding land.
