After dating for awhile, Tyler finally decided to pop the question to Haley on Memorial Day while gathered around a fire with their close friends. Tyler keeled next to Haley and she told him immediately to get up thinking he was joking. Once he pulled out the ring, Haley was totally surprised and speechless. Being in a state of shock and losing track of time, Haley heard someone yell, “Answer the man!” She then responded with an exhilarating, “YES!!”
I knew Haley and Tyler were just purely awesome people from our first meeting. They both have the biggest hearts and are willing to help anyone. They welcomed me with open arms when we met up again for their engagement session at Tyler’s childhood farm home. They took the time to show me around the property, we hung out with their family, played with farm animals, held baby pigs, and ran through the pastures.
When the day came for their Georgia farm wedding at Neverland Farms, the fall weather couldn’t have been better. Warmer than normal temperatures for this time of year in Georgia was welcomed and made the daytime very comfortable. As night fell, a slight chill created a snuggly atmosphere for farm bonfires and perfectly clear skies for star portraits.
Haley and Tyler did not do a first look, but Haley and her father did. It was such a magical moment watching Haley’s father resist the urge to cry as he first looked at Haley in her amazing wedding dress. After some hugging, talking, and time to really take it all in, they both boarded the horse drawn carriage to make their entrance at the ceremony.
I always thought girls would be the biggest criers, but after years of photographing weddings, I’ve discovered that 90% of the time it’s always the guys. Even the toughest guys that you would assume never cry, breakdown. I was not disappointed as I caught Tyler and Haley’s fathers both sheeding a few tears throughout the day. The love and excitement from everyone in attendance, especially the families was overwhelming. Everyone was talking, drinking, dancing, and really just soaking up every minute of the celebration. People continuously made us feel more than welcome offering us plenty of food, drinks, and thanking us non-stop for being a part of the day. It was an incrediable feeling to be a part of that much love and graditude from everyone.
Thank you Haley and Tyler, and of course all of your amazing family and friends for allowing us to be a part of such an incredible day in your lives. We are truly honored. :) Here are some of my favorite photos from their Georgia farm wedding at Neverland Farms.
