Courtney and Aniecheta live in Ohio, but had their amazing wedding in Atlanta since they have ties here and it worked out well for guests. Wedding planning is always hard, but planning a long distance wedding is definitely much more challenging, but they pulled it off with grace. The day began with prep at The Hyatt Hotel in Midtown. Everyone seemed perfectly calm with laughter filling both Courtney and Aniecheta’s rooms.
While Courtney was still getting hair and makeup, I took the guys across the street for some portrait time before quickly heading back to capture the final touches of makeup and Courtney putting on her dress. Afterwards, all the girls made their way downstairs for some portrait time of their own. To avoid anyone seeing Courtney before we could hide across the street, all the bridesmaids held up sheets around Courtney. This made it a little challenging and entertaining for Courtney to make her way through the city streets.
Once we finished with the portraits we swiftly moved into the ceremony which was also held at The Hyatt Hotel. Courtney’s mom walked her down the aisle as Aniecheta looked on with the biggest smile. The ceremony was filled with tons of cheering and touching speeches. Along with the officiant vows, Courtney and Aniecheta also wrote their own which caused tears from both of them.
The reception was held at Paris On Ponce which was only a couple of miles down the road. A bus took all the family and guests while Courtney, Aniecheta, Dan, and I made our way to a few spots in the city for some additional portraits. Once we wrapped things up, we all headed to Paris On Ponce to celebrate.
I have been to Paris On Ponce, but never for a wedding. I have to say, I think it’s one of my new favorite Atlanta wedding venues. Courtney, Aniecheta, and the bridal party made their entrance and went straight into dancing. DJ Rockwell kept the party going and the whole night was filled with tons of energy, dancing, and an awesome time!
Here are a few of my favorite photos from their amazing Atlanta wedding!
