Karina and Tyler are from Texas and decided they really wanted a small destination wedding. After some research, they opted for a beautiful Savannah wedding on Valentine’s Day! They really couldn’t have picked a better day. Being February and winter, the weather worked out amazingly with 58 degrees and clear skies. Karina and Tyler got ready in their separate areas of The Gastonia in historic Savannah where they stayed and had their wedding. Karina spent a lot of her time with Lauren Rossi for her makeup while Tyler enjoyed time with his family while he got ready.
Once they were ready, Karina and Tyler headed to the courtyard area where their friends and family had already gathered and they would be seeing each other for the first time. The ceremony itself was short and sweet with the exchange of vows and exchanging of the rings. Afterwards, everyone came together for some toasts, refreshments, and quality time.
We had planned a number of hours for portraits before the reception, so we started at The Gastonian to take advantage of some of the architecture. We then made our way through the city stopping off at Forsyth Park and a number of other areas before ending at River Street.
Savannah is typically busy with people enjoying themselves and tourist visiting all the hot spots. With it being Valentine’s Day and warm weather, it was especially busy. Traffic was thick and parking was hard to come by, but we made it to the reception with plenty of time to spare. Their reception was held at Vic’s on the River where everyone relaxed and had a great dinner.
Here are some of my favorite photos from Karina and Tyler’s destination Savannah wedding!
