We recently returned back to Atlanta from Tricia and Sean’s amazing destination Upstate New York wedding in Altamont, New York. I see so much of myself in both Tricia and Sean. They have a laid back love for life, adventure, and making the most of it all. Their wedding was no different.
Before Tricia and Sean made their way across the US to their current home of Portland, Oregon where we photographed their engagement session, they met at a friend’s birthday party in Brooklyn one cold New York winter. Tricia almost didn’t go due to the weather, but love bloomed as the two ended up chatting all night. When it came to the wedding, heading back to New York was the optimal choice. The wedding was held at The Appel Inn, which features thirty-six acres of amazing landscape and is over 250 years old! The whole day was filled with tons of love and excitement from all of their family and friends. After Tricia finished putting on her dress and completing the final touches with her wedding party, we set everything up for the first look. Tricia and Sean met on the front porch of the vintage inn surrounded by the lush green landscape. The guests soon began to arrive enjoying apple cider doughnuts as they found their seats for the ceremony. The ceremony itself was held outside behind the inn covered by large trees that provided shade from the hot day. There was plenty of emotion and tears from both Tricia and Sean as they read their vows to each other. As the ceremony came to a close, it was sealed with a long passionate kiss.
Everyone was excited and quickly surrounded Tricia and Sean as they made their way to the reception. As people entered the reception area, custom oven cooked pizzas and plenty of alcohol was available to all who wanted to dive in. The rest of the night was filled with touching speeches, dancing, and romance from everyone attending.
