A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure to join Yeshna and Abhinav for their New York City engagement and proposal. With Yeshna living in Canada and Abhinav in California, they have been dating for a good, long while. After being introduced though their parents and dating long-distance, the time finally came for the proposal. I had been coordinating with both of them for weeks separately leading up to the big day.
We all met early in the morning, in a quiet and private area of New York City’s Central Park. After a few minutes of talking, Abhinav bent down in romantic fashion and asked Yeshna to marry him. Although I’m not sure what Abhinav said, I’m sure it was sweet, becasue Yeshna said YES! After the proposal, we made our way around different areas of Central Park taking in the sights and stopping off at different locations for photos. By the time noon came around the sun was blaring and the heat was starting to take over. We planned to take some time off, enjoy the city, and meet back up later in the evening for round two.Later in the evening we met back up this time in the Brooklyn area. We explored the city through the streets and alleys, stopping off at various locations, before grabbing some ice cream. Once the battle between ice cream and melting was over, we made the long walk across the Brooklyn Bridge back to Manhattan. Of course, we stopped along the way for more photos with the setting sun.
Photographing on the bridge itself is tricky since there’s a never ending sea of hundreds of people continually walking and biking at full speed across the bridge. Nonetheless, we were able to make it work and capture some great moments. Here are a few of my personal favorites from Yeshna and Abhinav’s New York City engagement and proposal.
