This is Marian Mendenhall, who I shot for Jezebel Magazine. She is the co-founder and creative director of HASHTAGpaleo, a lifestyle network for the conscious consumer which focuses on lifestyle choices pertaining to clean eating and sustainable living. In short, she focuses mostly on the Paleo lifestyle of eating which seems to be a big rage these days as I hear a lot of people talking about it or doing it. 

Although we spent about two hours on this shoot with hair, makeup, picking outfits, and shooting, Jezebel ended up using one photo for the layout. That might seem crazy, but that’s pretty typical unless the layout will be a multi-page spread or includes a cover shot. :) Nonetheless, I was super happy with the results. It was really great getting to know Marian, talking about her business, and the lifestyle and health benefits of super clean eating. I learned a ton of things I have never heard of or never even thought about, so she does a really good job at her career.
