Last year during December I headed out to Sin City for Shanteria and Derecius Las Vegas wedding. I’ve been through Vegas a number of times, but this was my first time actually stopping and staying there for any period of time. I planned on being there for four days and wanted to take full advantage of my time, so I started planning early on exactly what I wanted to do. I arrived at night and once checked into the Stratosphere hotel, I headed out to the strip to check out some of the night life, people watch, and shoot some Las Vegas photography at night. Although it was a weekday, there was no shortage of people, gambling, drinking, and some sense of chaos.
While I was in Vegas, I also wanted to shoot some in the desert. A few weeks before I headed out there, I booked a couple of portrait shoots in the Red Rock Canyon which was about 40 minutes from my hotel. One of my Las Vegas desert shoots was with Kayla, a model for various high end car shows like Hot Import Nights. I spent more time on the strip during the day and stopped off at a number of famous places in old Vegas from History channel like Pawn Stars Gold & Silver pawn shop and The Toy Shack.
Here are a couple of my favorite photos from my Las Vegas trip.
