In February I had the opportunity to photograph John McNamara for his feature in the spring 2013 issue of Men’s Book magazine on art. John is passionate about art. He has an art and technology company which has produced hundreds of art exhibits in San Francisco and Atlanta. He runs the CMT Agency which uses social networking platforms to uniquely connects artists and buyers throughout the US. My time with John was extremely short, literally about 15 minutes. After some short introductions, we got right to work. We focused on a lot of basic shots since we didn’t have much time for creative work. Sometimes that’s just the way things go with editorial assignments which can be disappointing since I don’t get to know people very well and we don’t get to try more creative things. Even though we were limited on time, it was super cool to hear about all the art projects John has been a part of. Nonetheless, John was super easy to work with and we got everything we needed before he had to head out to catch a flight to San Francisco.
