When I first met Sarah and Joseph they told me their wedding was going to be super chill and an awesome party…that was no lie. They planned an intimate wedding ceremony at Piedmont Park followed by an exciting party reception at Fado’s Irish Pub. The day started off at the Hyatt Place Hotel in Buckhead. Sarah and her girls were getting hair and makeup while Joseph and the guys were still recovering from the night before. The girls room was filled with laughter as we made our way in and things were in full swing. Hair was flying and makeup was swiftly being completed by the talented Kari Roberts. Although the guys were still a little hungover, they still had plenty of energy to throw jokes. Witty comebacks quickly darted from one side of the room to the other as they got dressed. Meanwhile the girls were putting on the final touches as Sarah put on her dress.
The wedding day was set to be outdoors and the weather called for 60% chance of rain. Regardless of the chance of rain, Sarah and Joseph were committed to keeping everything outdoors. Umbrellas were brought for the ceremony and the covering of the rooftop at Fado’s was just going to have to make due. We all got lucky. The rain chance just disappeared leaving the entire day perfect, with a slight cover of clouds, warm temperatures, and a gentle breeze.
Sarah and Joseph met next to the lake in Piedmont Park nearby the ceremony location for their first look. As they saw each other for the first time, joy and excitement filled their faces. After the ceremony everyone made their way down to Fado’s for a night of dancing and celebration. Drinks poured at the bar and what seemed like endless trays of shots kept appearing from every direction the whole night. It was a real honor to be a part of such an incredible day in Sarah and Joseph’s life, as well as, being warmly welcomed by all their family and friends.
