This past fall I had the opportunity to photograph Richard E. Dunn, deputy director of Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget and Lauren M. Curry, chief of staff for GEMHSA. The shoot was for an article on Georgia environmental protection for ACEC Engineering Magazine discussing air quality, drought, coal, and various other environmental aspects concerning Georgia. The original plan we had for the shoot didn’t go as planned due to the time of day and harsh lighting from the mid-day sun, so I had to quickly find alternate locations. Luckily as I was making my way to the building where we were meeting, I walked through an amazing light-filled hallway I thought would make a rad spot for another shoot sometime. After talking it over with the photo editors of ACEC magazine, as well as, Richard and Lauren, everyone agreed to it. I thought the light, shadows, and lines looked sweet, especially for an engineering magazine. We still ended up doing a few photos in some other outside locations for variety, but the hallway was my personal favorite. Here are some of my favorite photos, the cover, and spreads for the ACEC magazine Georgia environmental protection issue.
