Miranda was a physical therapist and when Zach needed physical therapy, the last thing he thought he’d find was a beautiful woman to spend his life with. Zach immediately made Miranda smile and she spent a lot of time joking around and picking on him. Once he was released from physical therapy, they had their first date. Miranda knew there was something special about Zach when on their first date he tilted the table lamp towards her like she was being interrogated. As silly as that seems, this was one thing her father often did with her as a child.
As Zach and Miranda spent more and more time together watching silly movies and staying up all night until the sun came up talking, Zach knew Miranda was the one for him. Things moved fast in their relationship and it wasn’t long after their first date that they started talking about marriage, kids, and the future. Zach’s proposal to Miranda happened on Easter. After arriving home from church, Nina, their Maltese puppy was digging in the trash. Zach made up an excuse that he had a couple errands to run and came back with an energy drink. Shortly after, Nina came walking into the kitchen and Miranda noticed she was dragging something.
Once Miranda realized there was something attached to Nina, she thought it was just an Easter card. When she opened the card, it was written from Nina. (No, before you ask, Nina the dog didn’t really write an Easter card) The card read, “Mom, will you marry dad?” “Please” Nina. Miranda walked into the living room where Zach was waiting on one knee with a ring in his hand. She looked at him and he nervously said, “Will you marry me?” Of course, Miranda said Yes! and started crying.
That brings us to their amazing Georgia engagement session in the middle of nowhere. As with all of my engagement sessions, it’s all about the story of my couples. Miranda and Zach decided to have their engagement session at a very personal location, Miranda’s parents house in south Georgia. After driving a few hours and enjoying the amazing fall weather, I arrived to the farm property where I met with Miranda, Zach, and her family. After taking a small tour, we got started.
Her parent’s property is filled with tons of incredible memories including some vintage cars. Zach is a huge car guy, so of course, we had to include them. One that is especially special is Miranda’s dad’s first car, a Dodge Challenger. The sun was setting slightly behind the car which made for some great soft light behind them. We made our way around various parts of the property before finishing up at Miranda’s great grandmother’s house. No one lives there anymore, but it is still in the family and houses her aunts large Christmas collection. Miranda has a lot of memories there, so we made sure to include it.
