Well, both Jessica and I have spent a lot of time trying to cut down the number of photos from Claire & Jason’s wedding for the blog, but it was really way too hard. There were so many photos we loved! Plus, from some inside sources, I know Claire’s family has been eagerly awaiting for this post. What kind of person would I be to make them suffer like that?
Claire and Jason had an amazing South Carolina wedding at the beautiful Chattooga Belle Farm. The farm is lined with apple and peach orchards, grape and muscadine vineyards, and even berry patches with a 270-degree view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Yeah, flipping amazing and everything you’d expect from a South Carolina wedding. Claire and her bridesmaids got ready on one of the farm’s houses while Jason and his groomsmen got ready in another.
As Claire and her bridesmaids spent hours preparing, the guys were ready in the typically 30-minute guy fashion. After leaving Claire to visit the guys I was a little unprepared on what I was walking into. Loafing on the porch as I pulled up, the guys were having a great time goofing off, relaxing, and enjoying a few drinks. We made our way down to one of the properties orchards for the first look. Jason was in place and waiting as Claire peeked around the corner of one of the trees.
The ceremony was held in the distance from the reception barn in the middle of one of the orchards with the mountains as the backdrop. The weather couldn’t have been better. Not too hot, not too cold, sunny with a slight cast of clouds. Jason and all of the guest watched with anticipation as Claire and her father made the long stretch across the field to the ceremony. Neither Claire or Jason teared up much, but at some points, you could tell Claire was holding back.
After the ceremony, the party began. Most of the guests enjoyed the reception like an old country home, rocking in their chairs watching the sunset while drinking sweet tea. But, it wasn’t uncommon to see purple beanies and guys goofing off wearing their girl’s high heels either. I seemed to fit right in with their family and friends. If I wasn’t working I would have been doing the same thing. A little food, a little drink, some dancing, and a lot of love made this celebration unforgettable. I honestly don’t think it could have been any better. Everything from the venue to their family and friends seemed to be a perfect match for Claire and Jason. Congratulations to you both!! Here are some of my favorite photos from their destination South Carolina wedding!
