For the 2016 Holiday issue of Little Black Dress I had the the chance to work with Kwanza Zimmerman for the Best Atlanta coffee shops article. Kwanza herself is an impressive person. From school counselor to college instructor, and now a stay-at-home mom, she has accomplished quite a lot in a short time.
Add Kwanza, some of the best Atlanta coffee shops, a dash of fashion, and we have a super awesome shoot! If you know me at all, I LOVE some coffee. I probably drank too much that day, because I had some type of latte at every coffee shop we went to. We started off at one of my personal favorites, Cool Beans Coffee Roasters in Marietta which has a really cozy local band type feel before heading to Rev Coffee in Smyrna which has a huge warehouse type feel. After that, we finished up at Chattahoochee Coffee Company. I had never been to Chattahoochee Coffee Company and it was by far the oddest place. You literally have to go to an apartment complex, get a gate code, and drive through half the complex. Even then it was still hard to pin down. It definitely made it fun and also provided some great views of the Chattahoochee River.
Clothing was provided by the awesome Ivy Lane Boutique and Love Street at Cedarcrest while jewelry was provided by B. Watts & Company. Hair and makeup were provided by the rad Dyer & Posta Salon. It was great being able to collaborate with so many incredible people that are all so passionate about what they do.
Here are some of the spreads from the issue along with some of my personal favorite photos from the Best Atlanta Coffee Shops shoot.
