Kari and Jimmy had their hearts set on a beautiful fall wedding deep in the mountains of Georgia and that’s exactly what they got. With a slightly overcast day and just enough chill in the air to remind you that winter was around the corner, no one could have asked for a better day for their wedding. When we arrived, giggling was heard coming from Kari’s getting ready room at Proctor Farm. We entered and were warmly greeted by everyone crowded in the quaint room preparing for the big day. A small team of hair and makeup stylists were working on each girl one by one.
Jimmy and his groomsmen had other ideas about wedding preparation. They spent most of their morning relaxing and watching football and even taking a nap. The guys always have it the roughest when it comes to weddings. As the ceremony time approached, they quickly got into high gear getting their suits together and putting the final touches on before making their way out to the field where Kari and Jimmy would meet for the first time. Once Jimmy and his groomsmen took their place and the last of the guests found their seats, a large bell was rung to signify the start of the ceremony.
Two large doors standing in the middle of the field were opened and the bridesmaids began their way down the aisle followed by the flower girl and ring bearer. The doors were closed and Kari and her father took their place behind them. Jimmy stared at the doors waiting for them to reopen. As the doors cracked a couple tears could be seen on his face as he saw Kari for the first time approaching the altar. They opted for their own vows and both got a little choked up as they spoke them to each other. After the sand ceremony, they were pronounced man and wife and finished off with a big kiss and a little dance back down the aisle.
There was no shortage of awesomeness when it came to the reception. Decorations perfectly tailored for fall surrounded the property. Candy, S’mores bar, and an alcohol bar were placed close to a roaring fire, entertaining guests as Kari, Jimmy, and I made our way around the farm property shooting portraits. Once we made our way back, Kari, Jimmy, and the bridal party were introduced followed by some amazing BBQ provided by Slope’s BBQ. Once everyone finished eating and had their cake, they made their way into the saloon for some dancing and a little more drinking.
Congratulations to Kari and Jimmy! Here are a few of my favorite photos from their awesome fall wedding in Georgia.
