I had the opportunity to work with Erine and Brett to shoot some portraits. After having to reschedule twice due to rain, we finally met up at the Chattahoochee river in Atlanta at 6:45 am to catch the sunrise. I was up working late the night before, so I only got about 3 hours of sleep. I had a shot of espresso for each hour of sleep missed and was ready to go!
Once we arrived and set everything up we started on the banks of the river to warm up and then moved into the river. Shooting in the Chattahoochee river early in the morning in the fall is…..well….cold. Actually, freezing, but we bared through it. Once you’re in the river for a little while, it’s not too bad. You become numb and no longer really feel anything, so it works out well. Luckily, I had brought along a changing room, so everyone could change into dry clothes. Here are a few of my favorites.
