Recently I had the pleasure to work with Sabrina Tongren, an Atlanta based Graphic artist, to shoot some headshots for editorial use. I actually met Sabrina early last year when I started shooting assignments for Little Black Dress Magazine. She is the talent behind all the awesome layouts and even helps me out a lot on shoots as an art director. She’s a super rad creative that kind of does it all which makes for awesome sauce when we work together. We have an amazing working connection where she can see what I’m looking for and can direct poses all day long. Basically, she makes my job almost too easy.

As with most people, she was pretty nervous and unsure of what to do. Getting people to relax and giving direction is part of my job, but odd for her since she’s use to directing others, but even photographers suffer from the same thing, probably more so. It’s human nature. Nonetheless, we took our time going over the looks / ideas, and ended up rocking it per usual.
