Dan has worked with me for almost four years now and I was honored and humbled when Dan and Corrina asked me to photograph their romantic Atlanta wedding. I was extra excited to be working with one of my favorite wedding planners, Kristin Chaillou. Fall is my favorite time of year for weddings. I might be a little biased since Jessica and I were married in October, but you can’t beat the amazing weather. The wedding day started off at 10am at the posh home of one of Corrina’s friends where she got ready. Hair and makeup were in full swing and mimosas were flowing. The morning sunlight was perfect, adding such a warm tone to the whole house.

Once Corrina and her friends were ready, we all headed over to Summerour Studios were the ceremony and reception took place. Dan and the guys had just arrived and were in the process of getting ready when got there. Dusty, one of Corrina and Dan’s dogs and family member, was also getting ready putting on his bowtie and licking his paws. After Dan and the guys were ready, I set Corrina up for their first look. Summerour Studio has an amazing porch area where the sunlight flows through; perfect for their first look. Corrina was waiting very anxiously as Dan slowly made his approach to her. The porch area was near silence, so I’m sure it seemed much longer than it was. Dan made his way around her and their faces lit up.

The day moved quickly and after we photographed portraits it was time for their sunset ceremony. The glow from the fading sun made the perfect warm cast on the whole area. Corrina and Dan wrote their own vows and they were honestly some of the best and most touching ones I’ve ever heard. As the last few flickers of the sun made it’s way through the trees, they had their first kiss as everyone yelled and cheered.

Afterwards the party quickly started. Chicken and waffles, as well as, other amazing Southern dishes started filling the tables and beer disappeared quickly. The whole night was filled with crazy energy from touching speeches, dancing, and celebrating.
