I had the pleasure of working with Juliette for a fashion editorial project. The idea behind the project was to create a story featuring a pair of high heel shoes as a primary part. The weather that day was in and out of rain which hurt my original idea, but ended up working out to our advantage. The clouds created an awesome backdrop adding an ominous look and feel, as well as, leaving behind a number of puddles.
Changing the direction of the story quickly with the weather, my new thought was to create a series of portraits as if the shoes were too good to get dirty or wet, so the women would rather carry them. Juliette was amazing dealing with all the gravel poking into her feet and repeating certain shots over and over until we got the right look. My friend and assistant for the day, Michael, did an awesome job helping with lighting to make sure the photos came out great! Here’s what we ended up with.
